Our neighborhood bookstores are The Center for Fiction, McNally Jackson, and Greenlight Books. Nicole also frequents The Ripped Bodice, a romance bookstore.
In Manhattan, we love Yu & Me Books, the first Asian American woman/queer-owned bookstore in New York. The Strand is great for both new and used books. Book Club on the Lower East Side serves drinks and coffee.
Some of our neighborhood favorites include Montague Diner, SUKH, Glin Thai Bistro, Miss Ada, Grand Army, Dinner Party, Margot, and Strange Delight. For a casual bite, we like Joe & Sal's Pizza and Farmer in the Deli on Myrtle Ave or Court Street Bagels.
For drinks, we like The Rockwell Place, Vine Bar, Bar Goto Niban, and Blueprint. For coffee, there’s Devoción, Coffee Project, Moka & CO, and various outposts of Hungry Ghost.
Nearby in Park Slope and Prospect Heights, we love Doughnut Plant, Leland Eating & Drinking House, Ciao Gloria, Fausto, and Gertrude’s.
As insufferable members of AMC A-List, we recommend seeing a movie on the biggest IMAX screen in the country at AMC Lincoln Square 13.
In our neighborhood, we frequent Alamo Drafthouse, a fun dine-in movie theater, and BAM Rose Cinemas.
Prospect Park and Fort Greene Park both have great Saturday farmer’s markets. For lovely views of the city, walk around DUMBO and Brooklyn Bridge Park.
Green-Wood Cemetery, the resting place of Jean-Michel Basquiat and Leonard Bernstein, is beautiful and we recommend doing one of their walking tours. Stroll the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens or check out the Brooklyn Museum. MyssTic Rooms has some of our favorite escape rooms.
